Through the comprehensive plan the city speaks about how the buildings and the city's other land and water can be developed in the long term. The city's plan is an important tool in the work for a more sustainable development. Stockholm's development is exciting. Many people choose to move here to work or study, and Stockholm's business actually manage to prosper internationally. The city is in an intensive development phase and will soon have one million inhabitants. To meet the growth is planned for 140,000 new homes by 2030.
